At Family Pet Veterinary Center, we’ve always believed in providing exceptional care for your pets, and our new clinic is going to take that care to the next level. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our state-of-the-art facility right here in the heart of Norwalk. Designed with both pets and their owners in mind, this new space will provide a unique, stress-free experience for all animals and their families.

Our new structure will be built behind our current Norwalk location, with phase 1 completion anticipated for July 28, 2025. Once phase 1 is completed, we will move our Norwalk location into the new structure and immediately begin demolishing our current facility. Phase 2 will begin right away, with an addition to the new structure and the finishing touches, all expected to be completed in November 2025.

What’s in Store?

Our new building will feature six spacious exam rooms, each equipped with the latest technology to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. We’re also excited to offer a dedicated retail space filled with all of our favorite pet products, from food to toys so that you can spoil your furry friends with the very best.

While your pet is receiving treatment, you can unwind in our 'Cat Café', a cozy, quiet space where you can enjoy a coffee, stream TV, use the internet, and relax as you wait for your pet’s procedure to be completed. The 'Cat Café' will provide a peaceful environment, giving you a chance to catch up on some work or simply enjoy a moment of calm.

We’ve thoughtfully designed separate entrances for dogs and cats to minimize stress and ensure a smooth experience for every pet. Each entrance will feature a beautiful, handmade faux stained glass window created by a talented local artist, adding a touch of craftsmanship and vibrant color to our practice.

Welcoming a New Doctor to Our Team

We are excited to share that Dr. Kate Siller will join our team in July! She has a passion for treating dogs, cats, and especially exotic pets and will bring her expertise and dedication to our growing practice. Additionally, in May 2026, Dr. Molly Eyerly will join us, expanding our surgical and treatment capabilities to provide even more comprehensive care for your pets.

Advanced Dental Care with 3D Imaging

We are proud to offer advanced referral dentistry services featuring state-of-the-art 3D imaging technology. This cutting-edge equipment provides nearly five times better x-ray imaging while requiring less anesthesia time for your pet. This means we can achieve a more precise diagnosis earlier in the course of a disease, helping us develop effective treatment plans sooner and improving your pet’s overall health and well-being.

More Than Just a Clinic — A Hub for Education

But that’s not all! Since Norwalk is home to one of the nearly 300 worldwide Board Certified Veterinary Dentists (and one of the only two in Iowa), we’re passionate about advancing veterinary dental care and oral surgery. Our new clinic will also serve as a center for ongoing education. Our teaching area will accommodate up to 20 hands-on lab stations, giving veterinary professionals the opportunity to learn and grow in a cutting-edge environment. With the ability to connect with students and professionals worldwide through Zoom, we’re also excited to support education at a global level.
